Houston, TX, May 13, 2002 Based on such factors as outstanding sales and service programs and the commitment to transitioning to today's new technologies and solutions, Digitex Corp. was one of three dealerships presented with the "Reseller of the Year Award of Excellence" during the association's Business Technology Conference held in Las Vegas. They were selected as award winners based upon an evaluation of comprehensive candidate profiles submitted by a number of prospective award recipients.
BTA is an international not for profit trade association serving independent dealers, value added resellers, system integrators, manufacturers and distributors in the business equipment and systems industry.
Since 1927, BTA has been instrumental in offering benefits, programs and services for over 1800 members. |

"In honor of their excellence in business performance and strategic management, these companies are deserving of this recognition," said 2001-02 BTA President Robert Whiton, who presented the awards during the Welcome Reception of the conference. Through the guidance of their owners and the performance of their employees, they exemplify what can be achieved through hard work and determination. They have each distinguished themselves as model dealerships within the BTA channel and have earned our respect and praise.
The companies were evaluated in four key performance categories: finance, including average sales per employee, gross margin, inventory turnover and average collection period; operations, including effectiveness in reducing employee turnover, customer focused programs, business plan goals and objectives, and 2001 growth; vision, including marketing innovations related to selling future technologies and adherence to a formal vision statement; and involvement, including industry recognition and community involvement.
Digitex Corp. is the Category I (under $3 million in annual gross sales) award recipient. Mark Kinley is president of the company. With a focus on document storage and retrieval solutions, Digitex is one of the fastest growing Ricoh dealerships in the United States. The company was founded in 1996 and grew to nearly $3 million in sales by the end of 2001." |
